'Odette' has been on and off my easel for a while now inbetween other projects, and I can't tell you how excited I to finally call her finished!!
'Odette' is the third in my Iceberg series (the previous two sold very quickly at the last Gallery 1111 event I showed in). This one is a much larger one than the previous two, measuring 40" x 30" on deep gallery wrapped canvas.
Based on the Iceberg roses planted in our front yard, I love how different times of the day and the season can influence the hues found in the shadows. These roses sit in the shadow of the house late afternoon which gives the roses a hint of blue, which I love to play with and emphasise on the canvas.
‘Odette' is quite a statement piece while also bringing a sense of calmness to a room.
